Matteo Rivellini is head of the Ukraine Investment Team at the European Investment Bank, where he leads the Bank’s strategic engagement and financing operations to support Ukraine’s resilience, recovery and long-term reconstruction.
With extensive expertise in infrastructure, impact and development finance, Matteo has a strong track record across Ukraine and other EU enlargement countries, Central Europe and the South Caucasus.
Earlier in his career at the EIB, Matteo worked as an advisor to the Italian vice-president and as a legal advisor on the Bank’s operations in Italy. These roles provided a solid foundation in EU policy and investment practice, strengthening his ability to manage complex projects and stakeholder relations.
Matteo holds a degree in International Law from Università Cattolica in Milan. He is fluent in Italian, English and French.
