EIB resumes financing in Türkiye with €200 million to support the decarbonisation of Turkish companies
The European Investment Bank (EIB) signed two new financing operations of €100 million each with the Development and Investment Bank of Türkiye (TKYB) and Türk Eximbank. The two banks will on-lend the funds to Turkish small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and mid-caps for renewable energy and energy efficiency investments. The EIB financing will support projects that reduce emissions of greenhouse gases, strengthen supply chains and energy security, enhance climate resilience, and create new green jobs in Türkiye.
EU and EIB to boost businesses in partner countries through €1.3 billion financing
As a result of a new agreement between the European Commission and EIB Global, private project partners, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and financial institutions in EU’s partner countries will have access to €1.3 billion in funding to support infrastructure projects in clean energy and digitalisation. This new initiative is supported by a €362 million EU’s EFSD+ guarantee that will benefit companies and banks in the Western Balkans (€99 million), Eastern Neighbourhood (€30 million), Türkiye (€22.5 million) and the Middle East and North Africa (€ 210 million) over the next three years.
Türkei: EIB Global unterstützt über die İlbank Wiederaufbauprojekte nach den Erdbeben mit 400 Millionen Euro
Die Europäische Investitionsbank (EIB), die Bank der Europäischen Union, hat mit der Türkei eine Kreditvereinbarung über 400 Millionen Euro unterzeichnet. Mit dem vollständig von der EU garantierten Kredit wird die Wiederherstellung der Wasser- und Abwasserinfrastruktur in den von den Erdbeben am 6. Februar 2023 im Südosten der Türkei betroffenen Provinzen finanziert. Vergeben wird der Kredit von der EIB Global, dem Geschäftsbereich der EIB für Finanzierungen außerhalb der EU. Als Intermediär fungiert İller Bankası (İlbank).
