EIB Global and Bank of Industry (BOI) join forces to develop healthcare projects in Nigeria
Today, on the sidelines of the Nigeria-EU Ministerial Summit in Abuja, EIB Global, the development arm of the European Investment Bank (EIB), and the Bank of Industry (BOI) announced the signature of a EUR 50 million financial agreement to boost the local healthcare sector in Nigeria to address unmet medical needs. This will be delivered through a credit line to support local manufacturers of medicinal products and devices such as pharmaceuticals, vaccines, and diagnostics.

Niederlande: Hafen Rotterdam wird mit EU-Finanzierung noch grüner
Die Europäische Investitionsbank (EIB) vergibt 90 Millionen Euro an die Hafenbehörde Rotterdam für die Installation von Landstromanlagen an drei Tiefsee-Containerterminals im Hafen. Der EIB-Kredit geht an Rotterdam Shore Power, ein Joint Venture der Hafenbehörde Rotterdam mit Eneco. Rotterdam Shore Power installiert die Landstromanlagen, sorgt für den Netzanschluss und übernimmt zusätzlich Kabelarbeiten sowie weitere Bau- und Erdarbeiten. Insgesamt werden acht Kilometer Kaianlagen mit Landstrom ausgerüstet. Geplant sind 35 Anschlusspunkte für große Containerschiffe.
