Spain: EIB Advisory helps develop groundbreaking Thirty Meter Telescope project in La Palma
The European Investment Bank (EIB) has announced InvestEU Advisory Hub-backed advisory support for the development of the Thirty Meter Telescope (TMT) on the Spanish island of La Palma, a project that will place Europe at the forefront of global astronomical research. The initiative, led by the Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias (IAC), involves an international consortium of research institutes, private universities and governments, including the United States, Japan, India and Canada.
Spain: EIB Group and Sabadell unlock €1.8 billion in financing to support small and medium businesses and mid-caps
The European Investment Bank Group (EIB Group), comprising the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the European Investment Fund (EIF), has participated in a mortgage bond and a securitisation transaction arranged by Sabadell, investing a total of €822.5 million. The investment will enable Sabadell to mobilise approximately €1.8 billion to finance the liquidity and investment needs of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and mid-caps in Spain.
Spanien: EIB-Gruppe und BBVA mobilisieren 1,3 Mrd. Euro für nachhaltigen Wohnungsbau und kleine und mittlere Unternehmen
Die Europäische Investitionsbankgruppe (EIB-Gruppe), bestehend aus der Europäischen Investitionsbank (EIB) und dem Europäischen Investitionsfonds (EIF), beteiligt sich mit insgesamt 714 Millionen Euro an zwei Verbriefungstransaktionen der BBVA. Dadurch kann die BBVA rund 1,3 Milliarden Euro mobilisieren, um den Liquiditäts- und Investitionsbedarf von kleinen und mittleren Unternehmen (KMU), Midcaps und Start-ups in Spanien zu decken. Parallel dazu fördert sie den Bau und die Sanierung nachhaltiger Wohngebäude. Die EIB-Gruppe stellt die Mittel im Rahmen von zwei Verbriefungstransaktionen bereit.
