Construction/Rehabilitation Works for Road Safety Improvement, East Georgia (Lot I), (Lot II) and (Lot III)

The Roads Department of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Georgia (the “Client”) has been allocated grant funds (the “Grant”) from the European Union (EU) which are administered by the European Investment Bank (“the Bank”) and executed by the Roads Department of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Georgia. This International Invitation for Tenders related to the contract for the Construction/Rehabilitation Works for Road Safety Improvement, East Georgia (Lot I), (Lot II) and (Lot III). The aim of the Georgia Transport Connectivity (GTC) - Georgia Road Safety Improvement Project is to improve road safety on the national roads network. Considering Georgia aspires to become a regional transport-transit hub at the center of East-West transit routes, the improvement of road safety on key high-risk corridors, located in the extended TEN-T networks will substantially contribute to the improvement of the regional integration while mitigating risks associated to road traffic. The main output of the Project is to eliminate separate selected blackspots located along the extended TEN-T network in Georgia and improve the road safety. The main expected benefit is a decrease of road accidents in both number and severity. The civil works on the selected road sections (blackspots) will include specific physical safety improvements, complemented by awareness raising activities.
