Case Description
On 29 January 2024, the EIB Group Complaints Mechanism received a complaint regarding the Kwa Jomvu-Mariakani Road portion of the Regional Mombasa Port Access Road project in Kenya, raising concerns related to seven staff members that had not received monthly salary payments from a sub-contractor of the supervision consultant. Following the collaborative efforts of the complainant, the promoter, the consultant, the EIB services, and the Complaints Mechanism, the concerns raised by the complainant could be resolved during the initial assessment phase. Since no further actions will follow, the initial assessment phase was closed with the issuance of a conclusions letter.
