31% of Moroccan companies believe limited skills in the country's workforce are roadblocks to employment. The European Union is providing €83.8 million with the support of Delegation of the European Union to Morocco and the EIB in order to strengthen modern higher education programmes and research at the Université Euromed de Fès (UEMF), an important initiative, especially in the context of the COVID-19 crisis. Students like Nouhayla Chahm had to stay home when the pandemic hit Morocco but, after receiving a 4G connection box and a laptop, she is now able to continue her studies remotely. This aims to help safeguard access to education for all students. Together, we are helping young Moroccans achieve their dreams in spite of the COVID-19 pandemic.
