Übersicht
The project will finance the completion of the 906MW Tashlyk HPSPP's construction, which is an independent component of the South Ukraine power complex located in Mykolayiv region.
The project will double the hydro pump storage plant's peak capacity up to 906MW and will provide a wide range of services to the national electricity network. Capacity increase of the existing site reservoirs will increase grid flexibility and security. The project will ultimately contribute to grid stability in South Ukraine and facilitate integration into the European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity (ENTSO-E) test.
Compliance with the EIB Environmental and Social Standards, and requirements of the corresponding legal framework in Ukraine will be assessed. An environmental impact assessment (EIA) and social impact assessment is being undertaken in line with the new environmental legislation dated 18 December 2017. The latter is aligned with the EIA Directive EC2011/92 amended 2014/52.
The Bank will require the Promoter to ensure that any procurement procedures are done in accordance with the Bank's Guide to Procurement and the relevant applicable EU public procurement rules.
