Beschreibung
Loan for financing of small and medium-sized projects carried out primarily by SMEs and midcaps mainly located in Portugal. Part of the loan could be allocated to other small projects promoted by other entities.
Ziele
The loan is expected to be mainly used - at least 70% - for the financing of small and medium-sized investment projects in eligible sectors carried out by SMEs and mid-cap enterprises (up to 3 000 employees), primarily in Portugal but also in other European countries. The proposed EIB loan would promote medium- and long-term lending for capital investment, and would mainly contribute to strengthen the productivity and competitiveness of SMEs and midcaps. The majority of projects are expected to be in convergence areas. Some of the projects may support investment in education, industry, service, tourism, energy savings or renewable energy, protection of the environment or research and development.
