Key information

What we do

EPEC offers three main 'products' for its public sector members.

  • collaborative work streams
  • policy and programme support
  • a helpdesk facility.

Collaborative Network Activities

EPEC works with the members to identify issues of common concern, and then define work programmes which; (a) identify responses to these issue within the membership (b) synthesise this experience and (c) disseminate good practice guidance.

In this way, EPEC draws on, and shares the experience of member organisations.  Where appropriate, the outcome of this work may be published.

In the first instance, the membership prioritised:

  • Value for Money- assessing the wider benefits of PPPs
  • Value for Money- reviews of independent reports
  • Applying Eurostat guidance to PPPs
  • Operating Competitive Dialogue procedures
  • Credit Crisis

The website will be the principal tool used for dissemination but other media and delivery mechanisms will also be used e.g. an annual EPEC event with all the membership present; meetings on specific topics; presentations at member-supported events and articles in publications.

Policy and programme support for EPEC Members

EPEC offers bi-lateral support  to individual members on the development of PPP policies and programmes.  EPEC does not however provide consultancy services to support the procurement or negotiation of individual PPP transactions.

Helpdesk for EPEC Members

A helpdesk facility will be provided for members.  This aims to give a rapid response to PPP policy or programme related questions- or where appropriate, direct these questions to other members.
