    Objectives

    A gas infrastructure programme involving the construction, renovation, extension and replacement of various gas storage facilities in France and United Kingdom.

    The programme aims at reinforcing the security of energy supply.

    Environmental aspects
    Procurement

    The individual projects under the programme fall under Annex II of Directive 97/11/EC, as amended by 2003/35/EC. Environmental impact assessments have been conducted or are ongoing at present.

    Procurement for the programme falls under EU public procurement provisions, here Directive 2004/17/EC.
