On 14 February, Volodymyr Mikhailovich Lytvyn, Speaker of the Ukrainian Parliament, visited the EIB. He met with EIB President Werner Hoyer and EIB Vice-President Anton Rop, responsible for lending operations in Ukraine. Since 2007 the Bank signed loans in Ukraine amounting to EUR 1.1 billion.

EIB and Ukraine strengthen cooperation to support country’s reconstruction projects with €840 million
The European Investment Bank (EIB) and the Ministry for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine (the Ministry for Restoration) today signed a memorandum of understanding in support of Ukraine’s critical infrastructure at the start of the Ukraine Recovery Conference hosted by the British and Ukrainian Governments in London.
