The European Investment Bank today joined LuxFLAG, the Luxembourg Fund Labelling Agency, as a Charter Member. The European Investment Bank recognises the valuable role of LuxFLAG in facilitating investment in microfinance and environmental funds through the independent assessment and certification.

This support was outlined by Vice President Plutarchos Sakellaris at a press event in Luxembourg.

Speaking at the launch press conference, Luxembourg Minister of Cooperation and Humanitarian Action Jacobs further welcomed the European Investment Bank’s engagement to support both microfinance and environmental finance.

To date seven European Investment Bank funds have received LuxFlag recognition.
