Particolare importanza, in tutte le regioni, è riservata a settori cruciali quali lo sviluppo del settore privato locale, le infrastrutture economiche e sociali e ai progetti diretti all’attenuazione degli effetti legati al cambiamento climatico. EIB Group supports heating points in Ukraine amid energy instability
Ongoing attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure continue to disrupt electricity supply across the country. During prolonged outages and freezing temperatures, heating points – known in Ukraine as “Points of Invincibility” – play a critical role, offering warm and safe spaces where people can stay during blackouts, access hot water, charge phones and receive basic support. In Kyiv, 50 heating points are being strengthened thanks to a donation from the EIB Institute, the philanthropic arm of the European Investment Bank (EIB) Group.

District heating networks: Belgian developer KARNO to receive EU grant to mobilise €82.5 million in decarbonised investments.
This signing of an ELENA agreement with the European Investment Bank (EIB) will support KARNO in scaling up the deployment of decarbonised heating and cooling solutions at the heart of the energy transition. ELENA is a grant facility for energy efficiency, financed by the European Commission’s InvestEU programme and implemented by the EIB Advisory Services.
