The EIB attaches great importance to engaging with civil society and building cooperative relations with its representatives.
The Civil Society Unit (CSU) is the EIB's first interface with civil society. The team is responsible for developing and facilitating the Bank's dialogue with Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) and for providing them with information on EIB policies and activities. It ensures consistency and quality of communication between the Bank and civil society. The Unit is also the guardian of the EIB's public disclosure principles set out in the Bank’s Transparency Policy and ensures its correct implementation. An InfoDesk in the same Department is responsible for contacts with the public at large.
CSOs can send enquiries and requests for information of a certain complexity to the team members according to their specific areas of responsibility. Queries of a general nature should be addressed to the EIB InfoDesk.
