EIB support will help improve road safety at more than 7,000 locations in Greece, including the region of Western Macedonia following an agreement with Egnatia Odos S.A. in 2020. The EIB is providing a 15-year EUR 235 million loan for the installation of safety barriers, anti-skid surfaces, warning signs and markings in 11 Greek regions.
