As part of a EUR 48 million project to expand and modernise the National Centre for Scientific Research “Demokritos”, four new buildings will be constructed and another seven will be renovated to create a small autonomous (5G) and green campus. The EIB agreed in 2020 to provide EUR 24 million for the project.
