Fiche récapitulative
The investment programme comprises the implementation and operation of a portfolio of wind farms with an aggregate capacity of ca 400MW. The programme schemes are located in Austria.
The aim of the investment programme is to support National and EU decarbonisation targets and contribute to climate change mitigation.
Wind farms fall under Annex II of the EIA-Directive 2011/92/EU as amended by the Directive 2014/52/EU, requiring the competent authorities to determine whether an EIA is required. Overhead transmission lines for the interconnection of the schemes to the grid, if falling under the Annex I due to their technical characteristics, are expected to be subject to an EIA process. Where and if applicable and based on a risk-based approach as defined in the EIBG E&S Policy, the requirements of the Environmental Impact Assessment Directive 2011/92/EU as amended by Directive 2014/52/EU, Birds Directive 2009/147/EC and Habitats Directive 92/43/EEC will be checked during appraisal.
The investment programme concerns renewable energy projects deployed in a fully liberalised and competitive market, enjoying no special/exclusive rights. Therefore, private sector procurement procedures should apply. This will be further reviewed during appraisal.
