Investment loan to support the Republic of Uzbekistan in containing the COVID-19 pandemic with health emergency measures and pandemic preparedness interventions.
The proposed operation consists of a sovereign loan to the Republic of Uzbekistan. It supports healthcare emergency investment to strengthen Uzbekistan's medical health system with dedicated equipment and infrastructure for the period 2020-2024. The project would be carried out in close cooperation with the Government of Uzbekistan, the EU Delegation, the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank.
The project is in line with the EIB Environmental Standards.
The project is in line with the EIB Procurement rules for this kind of emergency operations.

Complaints mechanism
