The European Investment Bank Group (EIB Group) has announced a strong year of financing for projects in Slovenia in 2023, with a total of €359 million in new commitments. The operations will support growth and sustain jobs during a challenging period for the Slovenian and EU economy. Out of this total volume, the European Investment Fund (EIF), part of the EIB Group, entered into two guarantee agreements for an overall amount of €67 million.
The European Investment Bank (EIB) has signed a €250 million loan agreement with 2TDK Družba za razvoj projekta d.o.o (2TDK) to co-finance the construction of the second rail track in Slovenia. The loan agreement was signed by EIB Vice-President Kyriacos Kakouris and 2TDK General Manager Matej Oset and Director Marko Brezigar at the Slovenian Ministry of Infrastructure, in the presence of Minister Alenka Bratušek.
The European Investment Bank (EIB) today launched the sixth edition of its Climate Survey. These are some of the most striking results of this annual survey conducted in August and September 2023. Running since 2018, the EIB Climate Survey offers insights into the climate change-related views of people in major economies around the world, with more than 30 000 respondents in the European Union, the United States, China, India, Japan, the United Kingdom, UAE, Canada and South Korea. The EIB is the lending arm of the European Union and the world’s largest multilateral lender for climate action projects.
