The European Investment Bank’s Board of Directors approves a €25 billion guarantee fund, following the April 9 recommendation from the Eurogroup. The fund will enable the EIB Group to scale up its support for European companies up to an additional €200 billion, with a focus on small and medium businesses.

The European Investment Fund and the European Commission launch a programme called ESCALAR — European scale-up action for risk capital. This will help innovative companies survive during the pandemic.
