EIB’s Environmental and Social Principles and Standards Statement
As part of a public consultation process on the EIB’s Statement of Environmental and Social Principles and Standards, a public meeting is organised in Brussels on Wednesday 14 May. The 45 working day stakeholder consultation was launched on 25 March, when the statement subject to consultation was published on the EIB website.

The meeting is followed by a buffet lunch.
From EIB side will participate: Philippe de Fontaine Vive, Vice-President responsible among others for External Communication and Relations with Civil Society; Peter Carter, Associate Director and Head of the Sustainable Development Unit, Projects Directorate; Jane Feehan, Environmental Specialist; Evelin Lehis Social Development Specialist and Dominique de Crayencour, Director Institutional Relations and Head of the EIB Brussels Office.
Interested organizations and individuals are invited to register for the meeting by returning the attached registration form before the 7th of May. Interested parties can opt for a speaking slot (see registration form).
The Workshop’s working language will be English; interpretation facilities for French and/or German will be considered, depending on demand. Further details on the programme and venue will be sent after receipt of the registration form. Please note that the number of places available is limited to allow for a suitable interaction between participants. Consequently, we may have to give priority to those who have asked to participate at an early stage. In case the number of registrations exceeds the capacity of the venue, the Bank will consider organising an additional meeting.
Please note that EIB does not reimburse travel fees or accommodation expenses for participants.
