As a follow up to the first seminar on the same subject held on 15 October 2014, and as discussed during the annual Board Seminar with Civil Society, the EIB is pleased to announce this workshop to present and discuss its policy toward weakly regulated, non-transparent and uncooperative jurisdictions (NCJ Policy).

The Bank is committed to maintaining a leading role amongst IFIs against tax fraud, tax evasion and harmful tax practices as well as money laundering and terrorism financing. To this end, the EIB keeps abreast of developments on standards at European and international level in the field of compliance-related issues in general, and on tax issues in particular.

The Bank’s services will present an overview of its NCJ Policy, how it is implemented and further related developments.  The presentation will be followed by a Question & Answer session.  The workshop will also be an opportunity to update participants on a number of interesting topics, such as the EIB Group AML-CFT Framework approved on 15 July 2014, or the latest outcome of the OECD Global Forum.

A more detailed agenda will be available shortly.  The Seminar will start around 9h30 and a light sandwich lunch will be provided around midday.
