On Thursday 8 October, the 15 finalists of the Social Innovation Tournament (SIT) 2020, the yearly flagship initiative of the Institute’s Social Programme, will compete in the final event.
Due to COVID-19, this year’s edition is taking place online and will be streamed live on www.2020SIT.com. They will present and defend their project before a jury of experts from the academic and business worlds. Four prizes will be awarded: General Category and Special Category 1st and 2nd Prizes of €50 000 and €20 000 respectively. This year, the Special Category Prizes will go to projects focusing on the environment (with a special emphasis on biodiversity and ecosystem conservation).
We have created a new award especially for the online event so that you can decide who will win the Audience Choice Award of €10 000.
Since 2012, dozens of social entrepreneurs, men and women from all over Europe have competed in the SIT, contributing to creating a vibrant community, the SIT Alumni Network.
The SIT is organised by the EIB Institute to reward and sponsor European entrepreneurs whose primary purpose is to generate a social, ethical or environmental impact.
