Since April 2004 Gianni Onorato has been President of Costa Crociere SpA, with the objective of further streamlining and innovating the Company's core business.
Gianni Onorato, 44, comes from Torre del Greco (Naples) but has been living in Genoa since 1986. He joined Costa in 1986 and worked initially in the hotel activity sector before becoming Cruise Product Director. He was appointed to the position of Vice President Cruise Operations Director in 1998, with responsibility for all the cruising activities of Costa's fleet, such as logistics and supplying, and all the activities relative to calls, excursions, hotel operations.
In 1983 he graduated from the Istituto Orientale of Naples in Foreign Languages and Literatures, and specialised at SDA Bocconi in Milan and INSEAD in Fontainebleau.
