Applying for a loan

Projects financed must be:

• economically, technically, environmentally and financially viable;
• in line with the mandates entrusted to the Bank.

Major investment projects are generally financed directly by the EIB.

The lending decision for smaller-scale projects, notably the financing of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, remains with the financial intermediaries to which lines of credit have been extended. Promoters interested by this type of loan must therefore contact these intermediaries directly.
