Največje posojilo EIB v Sloveniji doslej: 500 milijonov evrov za sofinanciranje z evropskimi sredstvi

Evropska investicijska banka (EIB) bo Vladi Republike Slovenije posodila 500 milijonov evrov, s katerimi bo pomagala pri izvedbi Nacionalnega strateškega referenčnega okvirja. Gre za največje posojilo, ki jih je EIB kadarkoili odobrila v Sloveniji. Posojilo bo služilo sofinanciranju projektov, ki so prejemniki sredstev iz evropskih strukturnih in kohezijskih skladov.

Anton Rop, podpredsednik EIB je ob tem povedal: "To posojilo EIB, največje v Sloveniji doslej, bo pomagalo okrepiti konkurenčnost Slovenije ter povečalo njeno sposobnost črpanja evropskih sredstev. Slovenija bo s sredstvi, odobrenimi pod ugodnimi pogoji, lažje financirala prioritetne projekte v vrednosti okoli treh milijard evrov, kateri dobivajo pomoč tudi iz evropskih skladov."

Slovenski finančni minister Janez Šušteršič je ob tem poudaril: "Slovenija je imela do nedavnega relativno enoznačno strategijo financiranja državnega proračuna, ki se je osredotočala na izdajo ene ali dveh refenčnih obveznic. Z izkoriščanjem kapacitet EIB razširjamo naše možnosti financiranja. EIB je kot evropska inštitucija naraven partner za operacije, ki jih sofinancira EU. Glede na našo zavezo k konsolidaciji proračuna, bomo sredstva porabili za financiranje prepotrebnih investicij, saj raba sredstev iz EU skladov in projektov, ki jih sofinancirata evropski strukturni in kohezijski sklad postaja vedno bolj pomembna."

Večina predvidoma podprtih projektov sodi v sektor transporta in raziskav, tehnološkega razvoja in inovacij. Sledijo področja ravnanja z odpadki, upravljanja z vodami in področje zaščite okolja ter izobraževanja, izboljšanje izobraževanja in dostopa do zaposlitve, energetike, zdravstva ter prostorskega načrtovanja.
