    Description
    Objectives

Construction of a new section of Oginskiego street, including a bridge over the Brda river and its access roads. This operation is related to the Bydgoszcz Municipal Infrastructure Loan as an individual allocation for a major scheme.

The overall objective of the project is to improve traffic management in the town centre and create new connections to the upper part of Bydgoszcz.

    Environmental aspects
    Procurement

According to EU legislation, minor new road constructions fall under Annex II of the EIA Directive 85/337/EEC, amended by directives 97/11/EC and 2003/35/EC, according to which the competent authority decides on the need of an EIA on a case by case analysis. In this case the project involves also a new bridge over a river, therefore a full EIA was required and carried out. Full details will be checked during appraisal, together with aspects related to potential impacts on Natura 2000 sites, in particular in the river area

The promoter is a public entity subject to EU public procurement regulations. Contracts for the implementation of the Project have been tendered in accordance with the relevant applicable EU procurement legislation (mainly Directive 2004/17/EEC), with publication of tender notices in the EU Official Journal. Full details will be checked at appraisal.
