Development of a multimodal logistic platform in the Metropolitan Area of Lisbon, in the vicinity of the three maritime ports of Lisbon, Setúbal and Sines.
Objectives
The project would contribute to have a direct connection to trans-European Transport Network roads and ports and will facilitate the transfer of freight distribution from road to rail.

Environmental aspects
The project falls under Annex II of the EIA Directive 85/337/EC, amended by directives 97/11/EC and has been the subject of an EIA, with environmental authorisation granted on 1 October 2009. EIA, biodiversity assessment requirements and environmental monitoring plan will be checked during appraisal.
Procurement
The development of multimodal platforms is not directly covered by the EU Directives on procurement. The promoter’s procurement plan will be reviewed during appraisal.
