        Description
        Objectives

        The project concerns the roll-out of a converged fixed-mobile broadband telecommunication network in Italy.

        The project will enable Vodafone to deliver competitive broadband offering in one of Vodafone’s key European market.

        Environmental aspects
        Procurement

        Investments in mobile and fixed telecommunication projects (including investments in base stations, transmission systems and OSS) do not fall under Annex I or II of Directive 85/337EEC as amended by Directives 97/11/EEC and 2003/35EEC. Full environmental details will be assessed during appraisal.

        The promoter is a private company not operating in the Utilities sector, and is therefore not covered by the EU Directive 2004/17/EEC on procurement. The procurement procedures used, and to be used, will be assessed during appraisal.
