    Objectives

    Modernisation and extension of wastewater treatment facility in the City of Warsaw.

    The project comprises measures to improve the quality and management of the collection and treatment of wastewater in Warsaw.

    Environmental aspects
    Procurement

    The project falls under EIA directive 97/11/EC and Habitat directive 92/43/EEC. EIAs according to Annex I and Annex II of that directive have already been carried out and accepted by DG Environment for those parts of the project that receive community assistance. Compliance of all remaining project components with the EIA directive and Habitats Directive (92/34/EEC) will be assessed during appraisal.

    The project falls under EU procurement legislation Directive 2004/18/EC for public works, supplies and services respectively as well as Directive 2004/17/EC. Compliance with these directives will be assessed during appraisal.
