How to apply

There are no formal requirements to apply for financing from the European Investment Bank.

For projects with a total project cost of EUR 15m and above, the Bank can be contacted directly:

  • via its European External Offices located in Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Spain and the United-Kingdom.

For the financing of small and medium sized RDI projects and enterprises, the EIB is cooperating with a large number of financial intermediaries benefiting from EIB credit lines, through which limited size financing is made available. For information on available EIB partners please consult the list of intermediary banks and financing institutions for global loans.

In addition, the EIB is developing new risk sharing credit lines under which financial intermediaries will be able to provide limited sized financing to small and medium sized projects and enterprises on a risk sharing basis.

Further financial products, including guarantees to small and medium sized pojects and enterprises can be provided by the European Investment Fund, the EIB group's specialised vehicle in Venture Capial and Guarantees.
