Terms of Use

Purpose

EIB maintains its internet site ("the site") to provide information ("site information") on its activities to those entering the site ("users").

Acceptance

By entering the site, users accept these terms of use and agree to comply with them.

No offer

The site information is not, and should not be construed as (i) an offer to sell any product or service or to enter into any transaction or business relationship nor (ii) an investment recommendation or financial advice. Users should take independent advice from suitably qualified financial, legal, taxation, accounting or other professional advisors before making any investment decision.

Copying and dissemination

Users may not distribute site information in any way except by communication of the home page address www.eib.org. The dissemination of a link that bypasses these terms of use is an infringement thereof. Users may not copy or quote from site information without the prior written agreement of EIB, expect for inclusion in private educational or research material that will not be published. The copyright of all site information is owned by EIB except where otherwise stated.

Use of site information

Users may use site information only in a manner that will not harm, or infringe the rights of, EIB or any other person. Users shall comply with all applicable laws and regulations. Users agree that EIB is not responsible for the consequences of their use of site information and agree to indemnify EIB and hold it harmless against any losses to, or liabilities of, EIB arising out of such use.

Liability

EIB attempts to ensure that the site information is accurate, but errors may exist and EIB does not warrant that the site information is true, complete or not misleading. EIB accepts no liability for any consequences of the use of any untrue, incomplete or misleading site information nor for the unavailability of the site. EIB may alter or delete any site information at any time without notice. Users who wish to rely on site information should request copies of the underlying documents from EIB, as only those underlying documents, in printed form, are authoritative.

Third party material

The site contains material produced by persons other than EIB ("third parties") and links to the internet sites of third parties. This material, and the material contained on such sites, is not under the control of EIB. EIB neither endorses its content nor accepts any responsibility for its accuracy. Furthermore, users should assume that such third party is unaware of their use of third party material and will not accept any liability to users in respect of it.

Applicable law and jurisdiction

These terms of use are governed by the laws of Luxembourg. Any claim arising hereunder shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Luxembourg, Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. EIB enjoys certain privileges under international law and nothing in these terms of use shall be construed as a waiver of any such privilege.

Modification

EIB may modify these terms of use at any time without notice.
