JEREMIE: A new way of using EU Structural Funds to promote SME access to finance via Holding Funds
The JEREMIE initiative (“Joint European Resources for Micro to Medium Enterprises”) offers EU Member States, through their national or regional Managing Authorities, the opportunity to use part of their European Union (EU) Structural Funds to finance small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) by means of equity, loans or guarantees, through a revolving Holding Fund acting as an umbrella fund. This initiative was developed by the European Commission (EC) and the European Investment Fund (EIF), which is part of the European Investment Bank (EIB) Group. The European Union promotes JEREMIE and JESSICA: innovative ways to enhance the efficiency of EU investment in the regions

The fund is promoted by Yorkshire Forward, the Regional Development Agency of the Yorkshire and Humber region.
Funding for a Venture Capital and Loan Fund, set up to provide risk capital in Yorkshire and the Humber region under the JEREMIE initiative.
