Tripartite Agreement

The agreement (entitled Tripartite Agreement) mentioned in Article 287 (3) of the Treaty on the Functioning of the EU (TFEU) governs cooperation between the Bank, the Commission and the Court of Auditors with respect to the modes for controls exercised by the Court on Bank’s activity in managing Union and Member States’ funds.
The Agreement was signed on 27 October 2003 in its French version and was valid for four years. In 2007 and 2011, the Bank, the Commission and the Court of Auditors agreed that the Agreement would be renewed for a further four years.
