The EIB in Latvia in 2008-2012
In 2008-2012 the European Investment Bank (EIB) provided loans in Latvia totalling EUR 1.38 billion. Most of this lending supported EU cohesion and convergence objectives concerning infrastructure, transport and water and sewerage. Loans were also made to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and the energy sector.
