Evaluation of Railway Projects in the European Union

This report presents the results of an evaluation of 29 mainline railway projects, selected from the Bank's portfolio of 48 railway projects financed in the European Union (EU-15) during the period 1990-2000. The total loan value of this portfolio amounted to EUR 14 billion, or almost double the amount of the previous decade.
