EIB Group Report on Activities supporting SMEs 2011

SMEs provide 80% of new jobs in the European Union. The EIB Group (EIB and EIF) provided some EUR 13 billion of finance to 120,000 SMEs in 2011. Through a full range of general and targeted instruments the EIB and the EIF support SME financing needs and balance short-term anti-crisis measures with longer-term initiatives to ensure a strong framework for Europe-wide growth. This report presents the results achieved in 2011 in SME financing.
