This note analyses recent developments in Euro-area sovereign bond and CDS markets, and discusses related topics such as systemic risk and the common Euro-bond proposal. Recent years have witnessed a dramatic increase in bond spreads. One of the objectives of this note is to shed light on the main drivers of these spreads.
