Katarina Kaszasová: Full Member of the Board of Directors for the Slovak Republic

  •  Date: 14 March 2005

By letter dated 17 January 2005, the Slovak Republic nominated Ms Katarina Kaszasová (Director-General of the Department for National Reporting at the Finance Ministry) for appointment as Full Member of the EIB's Board of Directors, to replace Mr Vladimir Tvaroska, who had tendered his resignation.
On February 2005 the Governors of the EIB were invited, by written procedure, to vote on this proposed appointment.

The decision to appoint Ms Katarina Kaszasová was taken on 14 March 2005, the date on which the required majority of Governors' votes had been received by the Bank.

Ms Katarina Kaszasová has been appointed for the remainder of her predecessor's term of office, which will expire in 2008, following the Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors during which the annual report, balance sheet and profit and loss account for the 2007 financial year will be examined.

The minute of this decision will be drawn up shortly and submitted to the Chairman of the Board of Governors for signature.
