Mr Oualalou is also a Professor at the Royal High School, at the Mohamed V University of Juridical, Economical and Social Sciences and other scientific institutions in Morocco. He is President of the Moroccan Economists Association as well as President of the Arab Economists Union. Furthermore, he is a Member of the Arab Association for Economic Research and Studies and a Member of the Centre of Studies and Strategic Prospects.
Since 1977, he has been a Member of Parliament and a Member of the Parliamentary Financial Committee. He has held the post of President of the USFP group within the Chamber of Deputies since 1983 and is a Member of the Global Progress Commission of the Socialist International.
Mr Oualalou was born in Rabat (Morocco) in 1942.
