    The annual visit to the EIB by the ACP Committee of Ambassadors and the ACP Secretariat is taking place on Thursday 20 July this year. This event is co-organised by the EIB and the Secretariat of the ACP Group of States, based in Brussels.

    The event provides a platform for an exchange of ideas on the best ways forward for EIB investment in ACP countries, as well as a look at the current state of play with regards to EU-ACP investment relations, priorities and an update on on-going projects and strategies.

    This year, notable themes include the role of regional development banks in project development, the impact of the EIB’s climate strategy, digitalisation as an enabler for sustainable economic development, technical assistance and the African Renewable Energy Initiative.

    We will be hearing from several EIB speakers, including Vice-Presidents Pim van Ballekom and Ambroise Fayolle, in addition to ACP Group Secretary-General Patrick I. Gomes, Teshome Toga Chanaka, the Chair of the ACP Committee of Ambassadors and Fatumanava III Pa’olelei Luteru, Chairman of the ACP Group Subcommittee on Investment and Private Sector.

    The EIB and ACP Group are also pleased to be welcoming speakers from the European Commission, the European External Action Service, The Trade and Development Bank and the Caribbean Development Bank.
