Every year, the Brussels Economic Forum (BEF) brings together top European policymakers, opinion leaders, civil society members and business leaders to discuss economic developments and identify challenges. It is the flagship annual economic event of the European Commission and attracts over 1000 participants making it a key networking opportunity.
This year in its 16th edition the BEF will focus on such questions as which structural reforms are necessary to foster growth and sustain recovery? And how can the EU be better prepared to cope with economic downturns?
EIB President Werner Hoyer will be appearing as a keynote speaker discussing the topic ‘Investment as an Engine for Growth’, alongside EC Vice-President Jyrki Katainen.
