Case Description
Complaint
On 11 May 2015, the EIB Complaints Mechanism (EIB-CM) received a complaint concerning the Water and Sanitation RS project financed by the EIB in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The complainant alleged that his/her property has not been connected to the new water supply network under construction in his/her area of residence contrary to neighbouring houses. The complainant requested the EIB to handle his/her complaint in a confidential manner.
EIB-CM Action
Following a review of the complainant’s allegations and the assessment of documents related to the case and in order to further investigate the matter, it appeared necessary to disclose the complaint, identity and detailed location of the complainant house, to third parties. In this context, in December 2015, the EIB-CM requested the complainant to waive the confidentiality of his/her complaint and also of his/her home address, in order to be able to further investigate into the matter.
Conclusions
As of 8 January 2016, the EIB-CM has not received the waiver from the complainant. In view of the aforementioned, the EIB-CM proceeds to close the case.
