Following the European Call for Tenders (restricted procedure) for the construction of a new building for the EIB, the contract has been awarded to the Consortium CFE / VINCI.

As general contractor, CFE / VINCI will ensure the coordination and execution of the works, dealing independently with all subcontractors.

The contract amounts to EUR 135 million plus a number of options. Construction will run for 28 months.

The project was designed by architects Ingenhoven und Partner of Düsseldorf, in association with the engineers Werner Sobek Ingenieure for the structural aspects and the consultancies IC Consult, Beljuli and S&E Consult for the technical aspects.

The High Environmental Quality of the design has been recognised by BREEAM certification and awarded the mark "Very Good".
