The European Microfinance Week is the major annual event of the microfinance industry, bringing together banks and financial institutions, government agencies, NGOs, consultancy firms, researchers and universities for high level and in-depth discussions. Plenary sessions about “Microfinance and access to education”, “Microfinance and housing”, “One brick at a time” and “Digital finance: full inclusion or empty promise?” will be organised, along with workshops with leading speakers.

This annual event is organised by the European Microfinance Platform (e-MFP) and supported by the Luxembourg Government. The EIB is a sponsor of the event and, as well as participating in some discussions, is hosting the 7th European Microfinance Award ceremony at its headquarters on Thursday 17 November, in presence of the Grand Duchess of Luxembourg. The award recognises the important role microfinance plays in supporting access to education.

The European Microfinance Week will feature several plenaries and discussions, and offer microfinance actors ample networking opportunities.

For registration and further information on the event, including the detailed schedule, please visit the European Microfinance Week website.
