  • 2002-2007 Director General – Privatisation and Finance Department – Italian Ministry of Economy and Finance

    Main activities performed include:
    • management of privatisations;
    • monitoring and oversight State-owned companies, including management of State-owned stakes in these companies;
    • conversion of public-law organisations into joint stock companies;
    • relationship with the international financial community with regard to listed companies controlled by the State and to structured-finance transactions designed by the Republic of Italy;
    • Negotiation with the European Commission of key issues related to companies controlled by the State;
    • Member of Inter-Governmental Committees responsible for coordinating construction of key European infrastructure and structuring the associated financing.
