EIB's Statute

Created by the Treaty of Rome establishing the European Community, the EIB enjoys legal personality and financial autonomy and is endowed with its own decision-making bodies within the Community system. The EIB’s Statute is drawnup as a Protocol (No. 10) annexed to the Treaty establishing the European Community; it forms an integral part of the Treaty and has the same legal value.
