Public-Private Partnerships

The EIBURS recipient was expected to be involved in academic activities and advanced research related to the theory and practice of public-private partnerships across a broad range of sectors. Expertise and areas of active investigation should include theoretical and empirical studies of contract design, auction design, fiscal risks, political economy of investment decisions, risk analysis, project finance, unbundling, horizontal and vertical integration in network industries, regulation, legal frameworks and all aspects of the delivery of services of common interest via partnerships between the public and private sectors.
