Financial and economic valuation of environmental impacts

The EIBURS recipient was expected to be involved in academic activities and research related to quantification and monetisation of environmental impacts, notably those produced by human activity (air and water pollution, greenhouse effect emissions, noise, impacts on the landscape and the natural habitat, etc.), on:

  • environment-related markets (carbon trading, renewal energy, etc.)
  • the economic implications of environmental policies and regulations (including taxation, transaction costs, etc.)
  • and/or other themes that are relevant for the assessment of the environmental aspects of investment projects.
